October 2017 FCS Of The Month Unboxing + Review – Friendsgiving

Hey everyone! Today’s Mommy Minute is going to be a subscription box unboxing! I’ll be unboxing the Fortune Cookie Soap FCS Of The Month, which is one of my favorite boxes! Fortune Cookie Soap is an indie brand that makes products similar to LUSH. You can find all of the information for this subscription box here, but the gist of it is that it is $28/month and it comes with all full size products, which is an amazing deal for an indie company.

This month’s theme is Friendsgiving! All of the products are inspired by the TV series, Friends! Friends is one of my favorite TV shows, I even own the entire series on DVD.

The information booklet for this subscription is top notch, with ingredient listings, scent descriptions, how to use the products, etc.

The first product is the BING Whipped Cream. It retails for $10.99. This is scented with cinnamon, clove and nutmeg.

Fortune Cookie Soap’s whipped creams are some of my favorite body lotions. They are so moiturizing and hydrating and they always smell amaaazing! This does have a blue shade to it that disappears as it sinks into your skin and the smell seriously makes my mouth water.

Next up, we have the OCD OCD Hand Sanitizer. This retails for $2.89 and is scented with juicy apple, sweet caramel and a hint of brown sugar crunch candies.

I think I’ve received an OCD Hand Sanitizer in every box I’ve gotten from Fortune Cookie Soap, but I’m not complaining. They work really well, the scents are amazing and they last a decent amount of time. The only issue I have with this is the packaging, it’s so hard to get the last bit out because it’s a bit difficult to squeeze the shape of this bottle. But, this is a very sweet smelling hand sanitizer. I would even compare it to Bath and Body Works hand sanitizers.

The next product is the I’ll Be There For You Perfume Oil. This retails for $7.99 and is scented with deep plum, soft pink flower petals and airy blonde woods.

I’ve tried a few of their perfume oils, and the scent is always spot on. This is a very light scent, perfect for everyday use. It is vegan and it applies with a roller ball, which is great if you want to toss it into your purse for mid-day touch-ups.

I’m so excited for this next product! It’s the Smelly Cat Hand Poured Soy Candle! It retails for $7.99 and is scented with mashed sweet potato and the perfect touch of sugar, marshmallows and buttered rum.

This is the first candle I’ve ever gotten in one of these boxes, and I am a candle nut. I was a bit wary at first based on the scent description, but it’s actually a very nice scent (as long as you like food scents). It has a burn time of 15-20 hours which is awesome for a candle of this size. I think it’s going to go great in my kitchen.

Next up, we have the We Were On A BREAK! Teeth Whitener. This retails for $14.99 and is scented with peppermint essential oils and coconut oil.

This is a charcoal tooth powder whitener. If you’ve never used one of these before, they are extremely messy, but are quickly going viral on social media. I have a couple from a couple different brands, but I love that this one is scented with peppermint oil instead of just smelling like charcoal powder. It has a ton of different ingredients inside that do various things to keep your teeth healthy and white!

Next up is the How You Doin’? Hydrate Me. This retails for $10.99 and is scented with black rose, blood orange, smoky wood and Egyptian must.

Hydrate Me is a coconut oil and shea butter based lotion stick, essentially. It’s really convenient to use, especially if you’re showering at the gym or a friends house and don’t want to risk a full bottle of lotion leaking in your bag. I can really only describe the scent as sexy. It smells amazing. I’ve never used Hydrate Me in a stick form, but it is much easier, especially since this is meant to be applied in the shower, instead of afterwards like standard lotion.

And last but not least, we have The Rachel Hair Oil. This retails for $8.99 and is scented with hazelnut and subtle undertones of jasmine.

I love hair oils and use either a hair oil or a leave in treatment every day after I shower. This one has the most beautiful scent and I could totally see Rachel Green applying this to her hair everyday. This oil smooths, seals, and adds shine to all hair types. It’s made with argan oil, which I love for my hair, it always feels amazing afterwards.

This box has a retail value of $64.83. The box itself costs $28.00, which is an amazing value! I have always been a fan of this company and I can’t wait to see the theme for next month!

Do you subscribe to this box? Do you support indie companies? Do you watch Friends?
