Hey everyone! Welcome back to my Home Tour. Today, I’ll be showing you my downstairs coat closet. As odd as this is, the Coat Closet is one of my favorite rooms in the house. It’s the room that smells the absolute best, and I can’t wait to show you why!
Our coat closet is an elongated room underneath our staircase. The door is just to your left when you walk in the front door of our home. We do have a safety lock on the door to keep our kids out of this closet just because of the contents we store in here.
We obviously have all of our coats and jackets. We have a coat rack outside of this closet for guests to hang up their coats. And on top of the hanging rod for our jackets, we store all of our board games and extra lightbulbs. This is nice because when we need either product, it’s right there easy to find.
We installed two hooks into the wall of the closet to hold my purse (which wasn’t hung up in these pictures) and our Baggu reusable bags.
Inside of the closet, we put two shelving units that store our “home fragrance” collection/stockpile. We’re currently running a bit low on some things, but those sections will be full again in due time. On these shelves, I store things like wax tarts, air fresheners, candles, etc. I buy whenever I can score a great deal (typically on clearance), and we go through this stuff rather quickly, since we have four dogs.
We also store our vacuum, our carpet cleaner, and all of our mop/broom products in this closet for easy access when we need them.
How do you store your mops? Do you have a candle obsession like I do? Where do you keep your board games?
