Book Review: 30 Days To Joy (A One-Month Creative Journal)

Hey everyone! Today’s Mommy Minute is going to be a book review on a one-month creative journal called 30 Days To Joy! This journal was put together by Waterbrook, who happens to make one of my favorite coloring books, Whatever Is Lovely. You can find out more about Waterbrook here.

30 Days To Joy is packed full of inspirational quotes in between the pages you journal in and I think they’re a beautiful reminder of why I’m doing this project, and a great way to start my journaling time. I’m a big journal fan, but my mind is always going a thousand miles a minute, so I do prefer guided or creative journals that help prompt me with writing ideas so I can focus my thoughts on just one thing for a few minutes.

There is a different question prompt for each day, and while they’re all simple, they really do make you think.

Some of my favorite prompts in this journal are:

  • Sketch Joy on these two pages.
  • Look up from the page. What’s the first thing you see that brings you joy? Draw or describe it.
  • What is a truth that always brings you joy?

I’ve had a lot of fun these past few days filling in these pages with all of my “joyful” thinkings and I can’t wait to finish out the rest of the month. The other really nice thing about this journal is that I can keep it and look back on my 30 Days Of Joy whenever I need a little pick-me-up!

I think these types of journals are really great for busy people, especially moms because they don’t take up a ton of your time like standard journaling seems to do for me. It’s a nice way to get some of your thoughts out and write some ideas down, but you’re prompted and therefore able to remain a bit more focused. I personally still feel like I get the benefits of standard journaling, but I also get to spend more time with my kids πŸ™‚

You can find out more information about 30 Days To Joy or purchase your own copy for $9.99 here!

Does this journal look interesting to you? Do you like guided journals? What does joy mean to you?
