Hey everyone! Today’s Mommy Minute is going to be a review of the January 2018 Popsugar Must Have box! PopSugar Must Have is a lifestyle subscription box that costs $39.99 a month (but there is a discount for longer subscriptions). This is probably one of my all-time favorite boxes that I really look forward to getting every month!
PopSugar Must Have always has a great range of products that fit into different categories of a young woman’s lifestyle!
This month’s themes were: renewed, fresh, nourishing, self-care, snug and rejuvenated!
This hat comes in a grey color and can be worn slouchy or cuffed which makes it nicely versatile. To be completely honest, I’m not a huge fan of hats like this. The material feels nice and it is super soft. I just don’t find myself reaching for beanie-type hats like this, especially living in Arizona. I will hang on to this one just so I have one if I do desire it, but it’s definitely not a favorite that I’ve received in these boxes.
These are fruity tablets made with “completely clean” ingredients that are just 10 calories and will hydrate you better then water alone. They are packed with electrolytes and vitamins. Le sigh. Not to be a bummer, but this is just another one of those things that I can’t get excited about. I don’t like to take a lot of vitamins and supplements especially being pregnant and/or breastfeeding. I’m not the biggest believer in the health benefits they claim to have. These will be going in my swap pile, unfortunately.
Okay, now I will admit I love Ban.Do! I’ve purchased a couple of mystery boxes off of their website before and luckily, this came at the perfect time since I totally forgot to buy myself a new wall calendar for this year! This calendar comes with stickers and playful illustrations for every month. Ban.Do products typically have a more youthful feel to them, which I love because it just makes me smile. This is one that I’m excited for and I already have it hanging in my office!
KeepCup Original Clear Edition (16 OZ), $19.00
NOTE: I couldn’t find this exact color online, so I picked the color closet to what I was sent.
KeepCup is a great environmentally-friendly concept. It’s a lightweight, reusable coffee cup that looks like glass but is actually made from a clear BPA and BPS-free plastic called Tritan. I actually have a KeepCup already that I received in a Causebox previously, but they are nice to have. We don’t take coffee to go on a regular basis, but I do like having some reusable on-the-go cups just in case Kylor wants to take his on the run. So, while I’m not jumping up and down with joy for this cup, at least it is a nice, practical item.
This is one product I cannot wait to try. I know a lot of people were subscribing to this box just to get this one product, which retails for more then the cost of the box! This is a hydrating, weightless moisturizer that is packed with superfoods, hyaluronic acid and honey. It’s supposed to be light enough to wear under makeup and moisturizing enough to keep dry skin at bay. This is a godsend for me at this point in the dry weather spell we seem to be having at the moment. It’s super lightweight and that packaging alone is the cutest thing ever! It comes with a small applicator spoon that is magnetized, so it sticks to the lid so you don’t lose it! I love that include an applicator at all, since this is a jarred moisturizer, but the little detail of having it be a magnetic applicator is just the best thing to me, considering I normally lose small pieces like that. 😀
RXBar Chocolate Sea Salt RXBar, $1.99 + 15% and free shipping coupon code
I’ve been able to try several RXBars via various subscription boxes and samples over the last few months. RXBars come with simple ingredients like 3 Egg Whites, 6 Almonds, 4 Cashews, 2 Dates (the ingredients in this bar) and are gluten-free, soy free and dairy free. They are manufactured in a facility that processes nuts and soy, among other things. I’m not the biggest fan of protein bars, but this one isn’t half bad, actually. It’s not the most exciting thing ever, but it’s a decent snack.
I also received a $50 giftcard ($25 off your first 2 boxes and free shipping) to Hello Fresh. I have received dozens of these in various subscriptions in the past and I normally just toss them at this point.
I do have to admit, I’m a little disappointed in PopSugar this month. I just expected a bit more, especially considering that this is the first month of the year and it just kind of sets the tone for the year. While I will use most everything, I just kind of expected something a bit more exciting! All in all though, at least the majority of the products are useful and will get used. It’s just definitely not my favorite box so far.
This box cost me $39.99 and I received $136.99 worth of products.
What did you think of this months box? What is your favorite product this month?
