Beauteque Mask Maven is a monthly subscription box that costs $18.95 a month ($15 for the box and $3.95 for shipping). Each month you’ll receive 9-11 masks of all kinds, straight from Korea.
The theme for this month is “Prime Time”! The information card has the company’s social media information and instructions on how to find information on this month’s box through their online portal.
I seriously have a sick obsession with sheet masks. This is like Christmas to me <3.
Disclaimer: I have not tried any of these at the time of this review. This review is more like an unboxing and first impressions.
Black Food Complex, which contains 17 types of black food ingredients packed with healthy energy and nutrients, makes the sensitive skin under your eyes firmer and healthier, and Collagen, Bamboo Water, Panthenol, Pearl Extract, Cauliflower Extract, and other ingredients thoroughly fill up the moisture in the skin.
This mask is a black under eye gel mask that firms, hydrates and brightens. I really like under eye masks for the days that I’m just not feeling a full face mask. Gel masks in particular always make me feel more refreshed and relaxed. I can’t wait to use these little guys.
The cushion pulp sheet includes nutrition from fresh and natural ingredients, giving its own nourishment to the skin as well as solving skin problems. The Fresh Mask Pomegranate delivers natural glow and vitality to dull skin.
Pomegranate masks are really great to get your skin glowing. I’ve had really good luck with them in the past. You’re supposed to keep this mask on for 15-20 minutes, which is pretty standard for a sheet mask. I really like the scent most pomegranate masks seem to have, so I’m pretty excited to try this one out.
NOHJ Aloe Mud Texture Mask Pack, $2.99.
The packaging of this is super cute and the mask itself has this amazing gold rose imaging on it. This contains mud extract and tea tree to help calm and reduce inflammation which is great for the days when the weather gets the best of my skin. Or for when my hormones do. I really am intrigued by the whole concept of this particular mask, so this is one of the next ones up in my rotation and a welcome addition to my stash.
This mask has the same design and same claims as the previous one, so I’m curious to see if I notice a difference after using them both. Either way, I’m loving the gorgeous pattern on these masks and the again, the packaging is super cute. I’m excited to try this pair.
The water-full mask moisturizes skin. Mineral moisture from Salicornia herbacea water. The formulation of a moisture film with Hyaluronic acid. Adhering sheet like a second skin.
This mask is meant to be used for 10-20 minutes. It claims it is perfect for dry and cracked skin. Due to the weather and my hormones going crazy after giving birth, my skin is super dry right now so I’m hoping this will be a miracle worker when it comes to getting my skin back into shape. The packaging is simple, but cute. In all, it seems like a promising mask.
This mask contains charcoal extract and is meant to make skin elastic, moisturized, clear and relaxed. The packaging of this intrigues me and I’ve recently tried a couple of charcoal based sheet masks that I really liked. I love charcoal skincare products as a whole, but the sheet mask world of charcoal products is really interesting to me. I’ve had pleasant results with the ones I’ve tried so I’m hoping this mask lives up to my expectations.
Okay, the packaging of this mask is seriously super cute. I love the Vitamin Water reference. This mask was created to calm and restore skin after a stressful week. This seems like the perfect sheet mask to use during a nice bubble bath. I can’t wait to try it. Even the packaging looks relaxing to me, with a nice throwback to my high school years – a simpler time.
FrienVita Gold Glow Mask, $4.99.
This mask seems a bit pricey to me for a sheet mask, but one of the ingredients listed is 24K gold. This mask is supposed to purify the skin, eliminate toxins and provide a nice glow. I am really interested in the 24K gold addition to the mask, so I’m hoping this will be a really nice, luxe mask that just makes you feel good if you know what I mean. This should be a fun to use and I’m really looking forward to it.
FrienVita Aqua Gold Glow Mask, $4.99.
This mask is the same price as the previous one, which still seems a bit high to me. This mask is advertised as “perfect skin adhesion”, claiming that the mask was developed based on the octopuses tentacles. This mask also boosts 24K gold as an ingredient, but the octopus resemblence is what intrigues me about this one. I always have an issue getting sheet masks to stay in place when I use them, so I’m hoping this one works a bit better.
I really like this subscription. This is only the second month I’ve been with them, but I really appreciate the value and curation they provide. It’s really nice to be able to try several new sheet masks every month, most of which are not easily available in the US. That alone makes up a decent amount of the value for me.
I paid $18.95 for $29.82 worth of product.
What do you think of this box? Do you like sheet masks?
