Let’s Talk Trash! Empties & Mini Reviews # 7

Hey everyone! Today’s Mommy Minute is going to be my mid January to mid February Empties! This is going to be in blog post form versus video form, simply because I haven’t had time to sit down and film/edit a video because I have a newborn and two toddlers. Let me know in the comments below which format you prefer!

I used up quite a bit this month!

+ Yorba Organics Nourishing Shampoo, $12.95.
I received this in a subscription box and I really didn’t like it. I’ve talked about the conditioner before, which I didn’t like either. This just had a funky texture and smell to it. My husband wasn’t the biggest fan of this either, so we wouldn’t repurchase.

+ Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Hairspray, $2.99.
My husband was the one who used this up. He says he liked it, but he’s not super picky about his hairsprays. It does have a nice scent though, and it’s at a really great price point so we would repurchase!

+ OGX Nourishing + Coconut Milk Conditioner (3 FL OZ), $2.99.
I liked this conditioner, but this packaging on this travel size is terrible. I can’t get the last half of the conditioner out of the bottle. It was nice, and I haven’t tried this in the full size so I don’t know how the packaging differs so I’d be hesitant to repurchase.

+ Fortune Cookie Soap Strip Teased Sea Salt Spritz, $9.99.
This worked really well for me. I loved the volume and waves it gave my hair. It held up nicely throughout the day and it kept my hair looking great! This is a keeper for me, and way cheaper then my holy grail. It’s a definite repurchase!

+ The One by Frederic Fekkai One To Believe In Leave-In Conditioner (1 FL OZ), $5.20.
I never really got to use this. My spritzer is way clogged and I cannot fix it for the life of me. It kind of bums me out because I was really interested in trying this out, and it also leaves me with several concerns of the full size. I’m probably over-thinking it, but I probably won’t purchase the full size.

+ Suave Professionals Honey Infusion Strengthening Conditioner, $2.89.
I used up two of these! Go me! I really love this conditioner. It’s crazy cheap, which is a huge plus, but it makes my hair feel amazing! This makes it feel soft and luxurious and I get more compliments when I use this when I use high end hair care. The scent is so soft and nice. I have seceral more of these stashed away and I will continue to repurchase.

+ Herbal Essences Moroccan My Shine Nourishing Conditioner, $3.79.
This is another one of my favorites. It smells amazing and gives my hair a nice shine boost. It also leaves it smelling great and almost as soft as the Suave conditioner. I have a few bottles of this stashed as well, and I will always repurchase.

+ Broo Moisturizing Conditioner, $7.49.
This conditioner is made with craft beer, so my husband was alll over that. I actually won the shampoo and conditioner set from a Twitter party, so I didn’t pay for these. This was really nice though. I personally thought the scent was a little odd, but it worked well and I’d repurchase it.

+ Clearasil 5 in 1 Exfoliating Wash, $6.69.
I’ve used a couple of these now and I really like this face wash. It has a nice exfoliant to it, not too harsh but not too weak. It makes my skin feel refreshed and clean after using and I would absolutely repurchase.

+ Boscia Charcoal Makeup Melter (0.5 OZ), $5.33.
I was really impressed by this. It worked really well and removed the majority of my makeup, including my eye makeup. I did have to remove the bit that was leftover after I used this, but it removed way more then I expected. I would repurchase this.

+ It Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup 3-in-1 Makeup Melting Cleansing Balm, $38.00.
This I absolutely loved. It left over a little bit more of my eye makeup then the Boscia product did, but this just made my skin feel cleaner after using. I didn’t even feel the need for a face wash after this. It was silky smooth and the packaging is a nice size to get a good amount of product out. I would 100% repurchase this. I loved it.

+ MD Solar Sciences Daily Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30 (0.25 OZ), $12.50.
This was okay. I didn’t love it, but it wasn’t bad by any means. It just didn’t wow me. It didn’t feel like anything special. I do love that there is SPF in this, that’s always nice to have on a day to day basis but I probably wouldn’t repurchase this when there are moisturizers that I like a lot more.

+ SOO AE Snail Brightening & Moisture Mask, $4.09.
This was really nice mask. I’m a huge fan of sheet masks. This one intrigued me because of the snail references, but it worked really well and really helped to rehydrate my skin. I can’t say I noticed a difference in brightness, but I’m pleased with the results and would repurchase.

+ Philosophy Raspberries & Cream Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath, $4.50.
I got this in a set on Black Friday if I recall correctly. I can’t locate this scent online currently. Either way, I love this product itself and this scent was really nice. My husband even used this a few times because he enjoyed the way it smelled. These are some of my favorite shower gels and this one didn’t disappoint.

+ Philosophy Apricots & Cream Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath, $4.50.
This scent is another amazing one. I think out of the two, my husband and I both agree this one was the best. It’s such a nice, crisp scent and the product itself is really good and works really nicely. Another repurchase for me.

+ Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Recharge Body Wash, $13.50.
This is another product that my husband used. Since I tend to take showers at night and him in the morning, it just made more sense for him to use this one. He said he really enjoyed it and he liked the scent and how much more awake he felt after using it. We both really like the formula of Bath and Body Works body washes, so this was a nice one, regardless of who got to use it.

+ Ulta Beauty Red Velvet Cupcake 3-in-1 Smoothie, $16.00.
This is no longer available for purchase online. I’ve tried a couple of these in the past, and I’ve always like the formula. The scent of this was really nice though. I definitely got the baked goods vibe and this always put me in a more cheerful mood. I would repurchase, but alas – the good die young.

+ Holika Holika Aloe 92% Shower Gel, ?.
This is not the full size, but the label does not list a size, so I have no way of calculating value for this, unfortunately. I have gone through a full size of this before and I absolutely love this shower gel. It’s so crisp and refreshing and it makes my skin feel so much healthier and soft. It is nice and cooling, so it’s especially nice to use in the summer. I’d definitely repurchase.

+ Bath and Body Works Bright Autumn Blooms Body Scrub, $16.50.
This is another product that I’m not able to find for sale online, so I’m assuming it’s discontinued. This was a really nice scrub, it worked really well and the scent was beautiful. I’m discovering Bath and Body Works does decent scrubs, so I’m excited to try out more from them!

+ Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Moisturizer (1.69 FL OZ), $2.50.
This was a really nice moisturizer. It was thick and hydrating. Perfect for the winter months and definitely for my last couple of months of pregnancy. I went through this little tub like crazy because it was so moisturizing and rich that it really soaks into the skin and hydrates even the driest patches. I’d repurchase.

+ Fortune Cookie Soap Sorcery and Seduction Walnut Body Scrub, $8.99.
This had a very floral scent to it, which was a bit over powering at times. I didn’t love this. It wasn’t harsh enough of an exfoliant for me personally. This was more of a body polish to me. I wouldn’t repurchase based on my own personal expectations of body scrubs.

+ Spongelle Bourbon Vanilla Buffer, $9.00.
This was really great. I enjoy these little Spongelle buffers. This one lasts for 5+ washes, and the scent is gorgeous. I like these for in between exfoliating, because it’s so light and since the body wash is built in, I can turn two steps into one. I would repurchase.

+ Gillette Daisy Razor 2 Pack, $3.19.
I can’t find these online, and from the looks of it they don’t make them in this packaging/count anymore. These seriously sucked though. They’re disposable razors, which I’m not a huge fan of to begin with but these didn’t remove much hair. I have a couple packs left that I will probably end up donating.

+ Gillette Venus Embrace Sensitive 6 Cartridges, $24.99.
These razors I adore. These are so nice to use, they don’t rust as easily as other razors I’ve tried and they cause much less irritation. These are one of my favorite kinds and I would absolutely repurchase.

+ Skintimate Skin Therapy Lotionized Vitamin E Shave Gel, $3.82.
I have so many bottle of this type, it’s ridiculous. Borderline Hoarders status. I freaking love this stuff though. It’s so great for sensitive skin and it really cuts down on irritation from even the cheapest razors. I don’t need to repurchase this because I’m pretty sure I have a lifetime supply.

+ Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer (0.12 OZ), $7.35.
This is my holy grail primer. It can be used with any foundation and it makes everything look beautiful. It’s super pricey though, which is the only downside. I would consider repurchasing if I ever ran out of primers or got a killer deal on it. I definitely recommend it though!

+ Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation in 101 Classic Ivory, $4.97.
This foundation is still about 3/4 of the way full. I really liked the formula of this, but the packaging drives me up the wall. It doesn’t have a pump and the formula is a bit thicker, so it’s ridiculously hard to get much product out. I eventually just too frustrated. It’s good, but not worth the effort to me. I wouldn’t repurchase unless they changed the packaging.

+ Laura Geller Balance N Brighten Foundation in Porcelain, $33.00.
This is a beautiful powder that provides really nice coverage. I really liked this and have used several of these in the past. They’re good for people who want full coverage. I would obviously repurchase.

+ Elate Clean Cosmetics Universal Creme for Cheeks and Lips in Love, $25.77.
This was a really pretty shade and it blended into my skin beautifully. It provided a nice flushed color and lasted all day. I would repurchase!

+ It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ in Fair (0.135 FL OZ), $4.75.
I have a couple of these in the full size and I really like it. I’m not normally a big fan of CC creams, but this one provides a nice amount of coverage and feels really lightweight on the skin, so I’m a big fan.

+ Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Illuminating Primer (0.03 FL OZ), $1.08.
This was just a little foil sample, so I was only able to use it once, but it worked well. I was pleased with how smooth it felt on my skin, so I would be open to trying it again.

+ Sephora Collection Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover (0.84 FL OZ), $2.20.
I really liked this. I believe I got it in a Sephora Play box. It worked really well and removed the majority of my eye makeup without leaving that weird film that I find I normally get with eye makeup removers. I am a fan of micellar waters, but I would use this again.

+ AHAVA Deadsea Salt Mineral Bath Salt – Relaxing, $22.00.
This is one of the things I got from my last order of FabFitFun add-ons and I used it during my pregnancy when I would take baths. I really liked it. My husband used it at one point and he agreed with me on the benefits. It does create a relaxing environment and I would repurchase.

+ Degree Motion Sense Antiperspirant & Deodorant in Sexy Intrigue, $3.89.
I really like the Degree deodorants. This scent was really nice and this worked for me even on the hottest days of the Arizona summer! I have several of these in my stash and I will continue to repurchase.

+ B-Lab I Am Sorry Just Cleansing Water (100 ML), ?
I was unable to find this online with the exception of reviews. I received this is a Bomibox mystery box. I really liked this. It removed my makeup like a dream. I would absolutely repurchase if I could find it again!

+ Yuni Shower Sheets, $1.25.
When I originally reviewed this, I had said I wanted to use it at the hospital after I gave birth. With how everything went down, I ended up never touching this and just using the regular shower shortly after the delivery. I used this after I got home, and while it’s good and I could see its place at the gym or camping, I don’t feel like it replaced a regular shower so I don’t see myself repurchasing.

+ AHAVA Deadsea Water Mineral Hand Cream in Sea-Kissed (1.3 FL OZ), $9.17.
This has a really fresh scent to it, which I enjoy. It’s very thick and creamy and gave my skin some much needed hydration. This was great to have in the hospital since the air is so cold and drying. I would repurchase this.

+ Ulta Beauty Premium Quilted Round Cotton Pads, $2.99.
I seriously loved these. They were so soft and the quilting was a great texture that really attached to my makeup to remove it. I’m using a pack from Up + Up at the moment, but I would absolutely repurchase these.

I used up $340.81 worth of products this month!

What did you use up this month? Have you ever tried any of these products?
