Kloverbox Valentine’s Day Gift Box Review!

Hey everyone! Today’s Mommy Minute is going to be a review of the Kloverbox Valentine’s Day Gift Box! This was a one-time purchase box for $25.00, and according to Kloverbox customer service representatives, this box is the same as the February 2018 Kloverbox subscription, so if you are a monthly subscriber and you order this box, you will get duplicate boxes.

Kloverbox is a natural and organic beauty and lifestyle subscription box. It is $25.00 a month.

This is the same box with the same products as the February 2018 Kloverbox subscription, so I’ll be reviewing it like I do most monthly subscriptions, even though I purchased this as a one-time purchase box.

The information card has some nice details about the products this month.

They also included a card that basically says that they use earth-friendly packaging and are part of an ongoing effort to support sustainability.

+ Native Nectar Botanicals Rooibos + Pomegranate Cream Exfoliant, $27.00.

Pamper your skin this Valentine’s Day! This gentle but powerful cream exfoliator is packed with antioxidants to protect skin against free radicals and the signs of aging, as well as Alpha Hydroxy Acids which naturally brighten and refine. Biodegradable Jojoba beads work their magic to smooth and renew dull, dry complexions without damaging sensitive skin. Aloe Vera, Avocado Oil, Vitamin E, and Organic Neem Oil boost moisturize and nourish skin for renewed radiance.

So, first of all, the packaging on this is really cute. It’s very simple and kind of plain, but in a sleek minimalist way that really draws my eye to it. It has a slightly odd scent that I’m not too fond of, and its a very light exfoliant, but it is nice to use on a daily basis, whereas the harsher exfoliants that I prefer are not recommended for daily use. I am pleased with this overall.

+ Jaiden Madison All Natural Vegan Liquid Lipstick in Lady Like, $20.00.

Get kissable lips this Valentine’s Day! Jaiden Madison Specializing in beauty products made from natural ingredients that come from nature to nourish your skin, not harm it! This buildable formula may be worn as a sheer wash of color or layered with your favorite lipstick/stain for added dimension and bold color payoff.

This product I haven’t tried. I haven’t even taken the seal off. I’m not really a fan of these metalliac-y shades so I know that I personally wouldn’t be a fan of this based on color alone, so I plan on trying to swap this.

+ Moody Sisters Essential Oil Scented Roller in Lavender Rose, $12.00.

Whether you need a natural aromatherapy mid-day pick me up or a fresh perfume scent to smell great, this essential oils rollers has you covered. This natural perfume roll on bottle has a blend of skin nourishing oils featuring jojoba, plus a blend of aromatherapy essential oils and fruit extracts. This light and quick absorbing oil packs a powerful punch of scent to give you long lasting aromatherapy and scent.

I am a big fan of aromatherapy oils. I have a small stash of aromatherapy oils in my nightstand and I use them pretty regularly. This one particularly has a much stronger lavender scent and I’m not really able to pick up on much of the rose scent, but I really like lavender, so I’m okay with it. It does have a great scent and I do feel more relaxed after using it, so I’d say it works for me!

+ ChocXO Vegan Organic Dark Chocolate and Cocoa Nibs, $1.99.

If we’re going to have chocolate this Valentine’s Day, let’s make it a chocolate that’s organic and vegan! ChocXO is proud of every ingredient that goes into their chocolate, starting with their responsible and sustainable sourced organic cacao beans from the Dominican Republic and Peru. They never use artificial sweeteners, colors or flavors. ChocXO like to keep things simple, just the way their chocolate forefathers intended.

I love that this is dark chocolate because something about dark chocolate is just so much more luxe. I also love that it’s vegan, however this was a bit bitter then I prefer my dark chocolate to be. It was good though, I just wouldn’t rush out to buy another bar when I know that their are other dark chocolate and vegan bars that I prefer much more.

Honestly, I think this box was kind of a bummer for me. I will use a couple of the products, but overall I think I was expecting a bit more out of a vegan-based box based on past experiences with vegan-based boxes. I don’t think I would personally order another box from Kloverbox, but I definitely can see their market.

I paid $25.00 for $60.99 worth of products!

What do you think of this box? Are their any other vegan-based boxes you’ve tried?
