March 2018 Degustabox Review!

Hey everyone! Today’s Mommy Minute is going to be a review of the March 2018 Degustabox! This is one of my favorite boxes so I’m always excited to unbox it!

Degustabox is a subscription box that sends out a variety of shelf-stable food items, some which are new to the market. You won’t always be able to find these items in stores yet!  Degustabox is $19.99 a month and each month, they send 9-14 full-size products!

This month’s theme is Breakfast With Degustabox and it features several different breakfast options, including drinks and breakfast on-the-go. I love mixing it up at breakfast time for my kids, so we are always looking for new options.

They always send an information card with detailed info about the products featured this month, as well as useful recipes and coupons.

+ Loacker Quadratini Espresso Bite Size Wafer Cookies, $3.99.

Four layers of the smoothest espresso cream are held by five light, crispy wafers. This intensely aromatic cream filling made with a special Loacker espresso blend will also win over the most demanding connoisseurs.

These are recommended as kind of a breakfast snack item. I’m not the biggest fan of espresso flavoring, but I love these this Loacker wafers and while I won’t be sharing these with the kids, they’re a great way to get my day started!

+ Post Great Grains Coconut Almond Crunch Cereal, $3.33.

Great Grains Coconut Almond Crunch is made with flecks of real tropical coconut, almonds, crunchy flakes and clusters. This new flavor is a good source of whole grain with no high fructose corn syrup and no artificial flavors or colors.

I’m not personally a fan of coconut, but my kids love cereal like this with a bunch of different shaped pieces. They seem to like it well enough and my husband has tried it and says it has a nice flavor and crunch to it, so it seems like a win for my family!

+ 7 Days Peanut Butter Creme and Chocolate Soft Croissant, $1.49.

#1 Croissant In The World! Our crispy & flaky croissants are made with the highest quality ingredients. They are the highest quality ingredients. They are the perfect “any time treat”, whether is be breakfast, lunch or on-the-go snack. You can find all 5 varieties on

I have actually tried these before in a previous box and they are soooo freaking delicious! Unfortunately, this one actually arrived open, and I’m not comfortable eating it since I don’t know how it opened or what came in contact with it. I’m super bummed because I really do love these! I hope they send more in a future box.

+ Elmhurst Milked Brown Rice, $5.99.

Ready to up your whole grain game? We are giving you 20g of whole grain in every glass. It’s light, refreshing, and good for you! This online exclusive is a reliable staple in any pantry; good for both drinking straight out of the glass and for cooking or baking.

To be honest, I still haven’t tried this one. I’m a bit nervous, actually. My milk of choice is soy milk and brown rice milk just sounds a bit off to me. I’m debating using it solely for baking as I think that might be the better tasting option, but I’m sure eventually I’ll be able to taste test it.

+ Homebrew Quick Pickle Mix, $1.50 each ($4.50 value together).

We make it easy, you make it fresh! Pickling doesn’t have to be difficult! Say goodbye to expensive ingredients and special equipment. All you need are 2 cups of produce,  a pint jar and a packet of Homebrew Quick Pickle Mix. Make pickles in the refrigerator in just 24-hours!

This is the other product that I haven’t tried. I honestly have never been interested in homemade pickling. Plus, I don’t have a pint jar on hand. I think I may end up passing at least one of these on to my mom, who is getting more into homemade products like this. I might keep one for myself to try (since I love to try new things), but I need to grab a pint jar. Does anyone know where I can get one?

+ OREO Mint Chocolate Candy Bar, $1.69.

Delicious bits of OREO cookies mixed in smooth, mint flavored creme filling and coated in chocolate candy.

I love Oreos and I love chocolate, but I’m not the biggest mint fan. It screams “brushing your teeth” to me and not a nice, tasty treat. Needless to say, I’m not the biggest fan of this. I love the original bar from this line, but I can do without the mint. However my daughter, Monroe loved it!

+ BluePrint Energy TeaBluePrint Energy Tea, $2.49.

BluePrint Energy Teas provide dual-sourced energy from high-functional tea blends and trend-forward superfoods, including guayusa tea with tumeric and cayenne and matcha tea with moringa. Drink this tea to fuel your body with natural energy powerful superfoods!

I’m not a big tea drinker, so I gave this one to my husband to drink. He thought it was decent, but his preference is unsweetened iced tea. He did enjoy this one, but not enough to go out and purchase it on his own.

+ Julian’s Recipe Belgian Pastry Waffles, $4.99 for a box of 4 (or $2.49 value for 2) + $1.00/2 coupon

Our delicious Belgian Pastry Waffles are made from an Authentic Liege recipe that includes Pearl Sugar and Sweet Vanilla! They are individually wrapped for freshness and ready-to-eat right out of the package! Find our 4 count pack your Grocer’s Freezer!

I’ve received these in a box before as well and I am seriously so in love with these. They’re such a luxe treat and taste so damn delicious. This is by far my favorite item in the box and I just have to make my last one last as long as possible…. which won’t be easy in this house.

This wasn’t my favorite box from Degustabox, but they can’t all be winners, right? Everything will at least be used or already has been used, even if it’s not by us. My mom enjoys getting little surprises from my boxes :). I do typically enjoy this box a lot more, but I can understand the curation they were trying to go for this month and I appreciate the thought behind it all.

I paid $19.99 for $25.97 worth of products!

Have you ever tried any of these items? What do you think about brown rice milk?

      1. I usually get Rice Dream for the milk, I don’t have a particular cereal that it’s best with. It’s not as weird of a taste as you’re expecting! And I don’t think it coats my mouth or has an aftertaste the way soy does (which I also like, honestly, haha).
