Hey everyone! Today’s Mommy Minute is going to be a review of the March 2018 Look Fantastic Beauty Box!

Look Fantastic Beauty Box is a beauty subscription box from the UK that includes at least 6 hand-picked items along with an issue of Elle UK magazine. It costs $19.00 a month, or $16.00 if you choose an annual subscription, which can be paid for monthly.
Every month, the outer box is a different design (similar to Birchbox). I love the box design this month!
This month’s theme is Beauty Empowered!
March is all about what makes us feel Beauty Empowered. Beauty comes from inside and out, whether this be through self-compassion, confidence or your favourite fierce eyeliner! This month we have caught up with two inspirational women and created bold looks, tips and tricks for you to enjoy! Also, we’d like to introduce you to Avant, a brand that aim to create confidence through beauty by sharing their expertise in creating a natural and holistic way of beauty. So be bright, be bold and be confident!
- The Beauty Box Team
As always, they send the latest issue of Elle UK. This one has Margot Robbie on the cover. I just love her so I can’t wait to dig into this issue!
+ Skimono Foot Mask, $14.50.
Pamper your feet this month with the deep conditioning treatment featuring dual-layer technology. This sock-like mask contains Shea Butter and Olive Oil to soften hardened skin and add much-needed moisture.
Separate the socks from the sachet along the perforations and pop your feet into the inner layer of the sock containing the beauty serum and secure the mask using the ankle sticker tabs. Leave for 30 minutes before removing and massage any remaining serum into the feet.
If your feet feel hot or sore, then you can place the mask in the fridge for 30 minutes before use for a particularly refreshing experience!
I am a huge fan of foot masks, but they’re a bit harder to come by than other types of masks. I’m really excited for this one, since I haven’t ever heard of this brand before. This is one of the great things about this box, I get to try a lot of new stuff that I haven’t ever seen because they are from brands not readily available in the US.
+ Omorovicza Balancing Moisturizer, $81.00.
From the Hungarian brand, this moisturizer leaves skin feeling supple and balanced whilst minimizing pores and brightening complexion. Formulated to create a light, cooling gel-cream, this fantastic moisturizer provides long-lasting hydration. It is perfect for oily or combination skin and works well under makeup as a primer.
Apply liberally and evenly after cleansing to both face and neck.
Use on cheeks, chin and nose prior to the application of highlighter. The product contains Ruby Crystals which helps diffuse light, minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, also giving you an instant glow.
This is a really nice light-weight gel based moisturizer. It’s incredibly hydrating and feels amazing on the skin. It’s got a bit of a pillow-y feel, if that makes sense. I don’t notice a scent to it, which is nice for an everyday moisturizer. But that price. . . yikes. I hope I don’t fall in madly in love with it.
+ Renu Advanced Anti-Aging Flash Relax Mask, $14.85.
Say hello to bright, smooth skin with this fabulous mask that contains Vitamins C & B5 to enhance your skins’ radiance. A wonderful multi-tasker, this mask will also intensively hydrate your skin to keep it feeling soft, making it ideal for dry or mature skin.
Massage into skin, avoiding delicate eye area. Leave for 10 minutes, then for best results remove with lukewarm water using a damp cotton wool pad or sponge.
Use this mask the day before a big event or night out to really pamper and leave your skin glowing and ready to go!
This mask is targeted for mature skin, so it’s a bit out of my age range, but that’s not going to stop me! I didn’t notice as much of a difference as I think I would if I had more dry skin. My skin did feel smooth and more hydrated after using this, but I typically prefer thicker masks or mud masks. It’s decent though.
+ Skinchemists Rose Quartz Lip Plump, $59.00.
This lip plump is bursting with active ingredients that will instantly plump and nourish, leaving you with hydrated and fuller lips. Blended with Vitamin E, this must-have product, soothes and protects against skin damage. Not to mention that the peppermint oil helps to plump whilst also leaving a divine scent.
Apply to lips as if it were a lip gloss for a needle-free lip plump.
Use alone for an instant shine or apply your favorite lipstick over the top for some added colour.
Goodness, ya’ll. That price, though. This is a really great lip plump, I will say. The peppermint is noticeable, but not in a “burn your lips off your face” kind of way. It did plump my lips nicely, nothing too big but a nice change for me. All in all, it does what it claims and my lips did feel more hydrated when compared to other lip plumps I’ve tried in the past. I’m excited to keep using this.
+ Stylondon Oval Face Brush, $8.50
This brush is ideal for blending and contouring your favorite foundation, concealer, blush and powder. It’s easy to grip and designed to be flexible, adapting to the shape of your face to give your makeup an even and flawless finish.
Use in a circular motion when applying your desired product.
Slightly dampen the brush if blending a liquid based product for a smoother finish.
I was only able to find this brush in a set, not as a single brush, so the price I calculated above is based on the cost of the three brush set, divided by three! This is a great brush. I’m a really big fan of oval brushes. I find them very easy to use and they really help with blending out products. This one is super soft and flexible, and it’s really great to use. I personally like this with cream contour products.
We guarantee that these gorgeous Shimmer eyeshadow shades will add an instant sparkle to your look! Highly pigmented and customizable, the shimmer texture and versatility of the Kate & Tenley shades will complement all skin tones. Enjoy effortless application also with rich, creamy and weightless texture, making them super easy to blend without smudging or creasing.
Using an eyeshadow brush, apply a solo color or combine the two together to cover the eye lid, use a darker shade in the creases and lighter shades up to the brow and blend well.
Apply the eyeshadows dry for a more natural finish or wet for a long lasting and dramatic look!
I can’t find this duo available online, so the value is based on the price of two monos. I have several shadows and a couple of palettes from this brand, and they’re nice shadows. I do find them to be a bit powdery, which does cause a bit of fall-out. The colors in this duo are nice, though. They’re very neutral shades, which I like because they’re a bit more wearable then brighter shades in my everyday life.
I think the box this month has an amazing value, especially if you sign up for the yearly subscription. The products this month were nice, nothing crazy exciting but all very usable products which is a huge plus for me.
I paid $16.00 for $197.85 worth of products + the latest issue of Elle UK magazine!
How crazy is the value of this subscription? What’s your favorite UK beauty brand?
