Let’s Talk Trash! Beauty Empties & Mini Reviews #9

Hey everyone! I’m back with another Empties post today! I love watching Empties videos and reading Empties blog posts because it’s a great way to find out what products other people are loving and hating. Once you’ve used up an entire product, you tend to know how you feel about it!

+ Links may be affiliate or referral links. All items purchased by me unless otherwise noted. All opinions are my own.

+ Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Miracle Multiplying Volume Mist (1.4 FL OZ), $15.00.
I really liked this. I’ve used up a few bottles of this before, and it always provides nice volume with a non-offensive scent. I don’t think I’ve ever used a full-size bottle of it, but I’d definitely be into buying a bottle.

+ Drybar Triple Sec (0.35 FL OZ), $15.50.
The price listed is the Amazon price, which is the only place that I could find the 0.35 FL OZ size. I don’t know why Amazon has the price so expensive, but the full size is about $23.00, FYI. This was amazing though. I used it as a dry shampoo/volumizer and once I go through some of my back stock, I will absolutely be getting a full size bottle.

+ It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin (2 FL OZ), $10.95.
This is one of my holy grail leave-ins and I typically get some freebie bottles this size from Ulta. This is one that I will absolutely repurchase and I love using it. It always makes my hair feel so soft and healthier, if that’s even possible to feel. It just always feels better after using this.

+ Pureology Colour Fanatic Multi-Tasking Beautifier (1 FL OZ), $8.00.
This little guy boasts 21 Essential benefits and is made using 100% vegan ingredients. I have used this product before and it’s a good product. Not my favorite, not something I would run out and get, but it’s decent and more affordable than some higher end brands. I would buy it again if I found it on sale.

+ Suave Professionals Coconut Oil Infusion Damage Repair Conditioner (12.6 FL OZ), $2.94.
I’ve used up several of this conditioner and the honey one below and I really love both of them. They’re super affordable and they WORK. I always buy a ton when they’re on sale to get them even cheaper, and I have a nice stockpile built up now. This makes my hair feel great, and I love the coconut scent to it. I will continue to repurchase.

+ Suave Professionals Honey Infusion Strengthening Conditioner (12.6 FL OZ), $2.89.
This is one of my favorite conditioners ever! This smells amaaaazing, it makes my hair crazy soft and it really helps with any breakage I might be having. I always see great results with this conditioner, and can really tell a difference in the health of my hair when I’m using this. I will always repurchase this.

+ Marc Anthony Hydrating Coconut Oil Sulfate Free Shampoo (8.4 FL OZ), $7.99.
I got this in a set of three Marc Anthony Coconut Oil products from an Ipsy Shopper offer. This was really nice and it smells incredible! I am a huge lover of the coconut scent, so I’m down for pretty much anything that smells like coconut. This worked for me though, it made my hair feel nice and clean and I feel like it helped remove any product build-up too. I would repurchase.

+ L’Oreal Paris EverCurl 6in1 Cleansing Balm (16.9 FL OZ), $11.99.
This product is actually discontinued in this size, but the price for this size was $11.99 on the Walmart website (where it is currently out of stock). I bought a few bottles of this when it was on clearance at Frys actually a couple of months ago. It’s okay, I don’t feel like it does a whole lot for my hair. If anything, I honestly think (ironically) it kind of weighs it down. I’ll use up the bottles that I have, but I wouldn’t repurchase, if it was still available.

+ Love Beauty & Planet Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower Volume and Bounty Conditioner (13.5 FL OZ), $8.49.
This brand has been everywhere lately, so I had to see what the fuss was about. I did purchase both the shampoo and conditioner, but of course I used up the conditioner first. This was a really nice conditioner though. It smelled great, made my hair feel softer, and gave me some nice volume. I didn’t love the packaging though. These types of bottles always give me a hard time getting the lower portion of the product out, so I wouldn’t repurchase based on packaging alone.

+ HASK Greek Yogurt Repairing Shampoo (8.25 FL OZ), $7.99.
I got this set in a subscription box. It’s actually a really nice set, this shampoo is wonderful. It smells great (as you can see, I’m 100% obsessed with nice scents), it really felt light in my hair, but lathered really nicely. This is a dual shampoo formula that combines greek yogurt with blueberry & acai. I feel like a lot is still left in the tube, but I tried for days to get the rest out and I just couldn’t, but I would repurchase this.

+ HASK Greek Yogurt Repairing Conditioner (8.25 FL OZ), $12.98.
I don’t know why I can’t find this product on the Walgreens website, and I can’t find the shampoo on Amazon’s website or why the pricing is so different, but here we are. This was a nice conditioner and it paired really nicely with the shampoo. It worked well, and I loved how silky my hair felt and the shine that it gave it, which I really wasn’t expecting. I would definitely repurchase this.

+ Aussie Total Miracle 7in1 Dry Shampoo (4.9 FL OZ), $3.49.
I seriously liked this so much, I went out and bought like 5 bottles. I might have a little problem. . . anyways, this stuff works great! It has like, a fruit-loopy smell, which I love! It does a great job as a dry shampoo and doesn’t leave any weird residue or film behind and it also provides awesome volume! I’m currently using another bottle of this at the moment, and have several more as back-ups!

+ Redken Fashion Waves 07 Sea Salt Spray (8.5 FL OZ), $14.50.
I got this in a subscription box, I believe. This was really nice though. I have tried it before, and it works really well. It gives me decent waves without being too heavy or crunchy or making my hair look stringy. I think of this when I want “beachy waves”. It’s not too much, but it’s super easy to create a cute look using this. I would definitely repurchase.

+ TRESemme Extra Firm Control TRES TWO Hairspray, 4 (11 OZ), $4.89.
This was actually a product that Kylor used. He’s gone through several of these cans, although I’m the one purchasing them. Kylor says it doesn’t last very long and there’s better stuff out there, so he requests it to not be repurchased. Guess I’m on the hunt for a new hairspray for him!

+ Leaders Lifting Recovery Mask, $7.00.
I have been seriously slacking on my face masks these past few weeks! I blame it on being sick . . :). Anywho, I liked this one. I have tried other LEADERS masks before, and I’ve never been disappointed. I actually used this one right before I got sick, and it was really purifying-feeling. I would repurchase.

+ FrienVITA Perfect Skin Adhesion Firming Gold Glow Mask, $3.95.
I couldn’t find this exact mask online in America, so the price is what I found for a mask from the same line. I got this mask in a subscription box, and I really didn’t like it. This claims to be “perfect skin adhesion” mask and I seriously couldn’t get it to stick to my face. It kept sliding down my face, so I didn’t even use it for the full amount of time. I would not repurchase.

+ Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Purifying Mud Mask (0.5 FL OZ), $12.00.
This mask claims to be a purifying and decongesting mask, so I actually decided to use this while I was sick. I personally didn’t notice a ton of different in my congestion, but my skin did feel much better after using this and I didn’t have that “sicky” feel anymore. I don’t think this helped me get over my sinus thing, but I do think it made me feel a little better. I would repurchase.

+ EVRI Konjac Sponge, $9.99.
I actually bought several of these on clearance at Walmart since I used konjac sponges every day to wash my face with. I normally use EcoTools sponges, but I figured I would give this brand a shot since I was able to find them so cheap. These are actually really good! I would probably repurchase these over my EcoTool sponges I normally use. They’re very soft and cleanse my skin really well.

+ Eminence Organic Skin Care Bamboo Firming Fluid (0.07 FL OZ), $3.38.
The link of this product is to the full size, which is also the price used to calculate the value of my sample. I have no idea where I got this sample from, but I was really impressed with how well it worked for me. My skin felt tighter and smoother almost instantly and the product absorbed into my skin very seamlessly. I would definitely purchase this.

+ La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser (0.5 FL OZ), $2.84.
The value listed is based on the price of the full size. This was a good cleanser, I’ve tried several from this brand in the past and I’m always happy with the results. Nothing too exciting, but they work well and make my skin feel really great.

+ La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser (0.5 FL OZ), $0.55.
The value listed is based on the price of the full size. My thoughts on the other cleanser is basically just repeated here. These are nice cleansers, nothing crazy special, but they get the job done and I would repurchase.

+ Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser (4 FL OZ), $16.28.
I believe this exact size is only available in sets, so the price listed is based on the price of the 3 FL OZ on Amazon. This is a cult classic cleanser for a reason. It is so gentle, so soft, and makes your skin feel so clean. This is the bottle that I packed in my hospital bag when I gave birth to Ramsey and it was so relaxing to be able to use this during my stay. I would absolutely repurchase this, but I do believe I have some backups in my stash.

+ Vichy 3-in-1 One Step Cleansing Micellar Solution (6.7 FL OZ), $10.87.
This is a really great micellar water. I’ve tried a ton of different ones and this one is one of my favorites. It cleanses nicely without being harsh on my skin and it removed all of my eye makeup in 1-2 swipes across. I would definitely repurchase this!

+ Etude House DIY Travel Colorful Scent Body Wash (2.02 FL OZ), $2.60.
This is another subscription box find. This was nice and it had a pleasant scent. My husband used up the majority of this tube though, and he said that he does like it, but requests a bit of a manlier scent! I would repurchase this, though. I liked it the small amount I tried.

+ Tommy Bahama Very Cool Shower Gel (3.4 FL OZ), ?.
I cannot find this online, but this came in a cologne set that Kylor received. He is the only person that used this, and here are his thoughts: It smelled good, it lathered good, he would repurchase it!

+ LUSH Snow Fairy Shower Gel (3.3 FL OZ), $10.95.
This is LE, so you can’t get it on the LUSH website at the moment, but Amazon is selling it for a premium price, if you’re interested. I purchased this last December, and I seriously get why this scent is such a popular one! This smelled like straight sugar and I couldn’t get enough of it. I would absolutely repurchase it!

+ Bath & Body Works Tutti Dolci Golden Honey Praline Shower Gel (8.4 FL OZ), $12.50.
This is another LE product, so it isn’t available any longer. This was great though. The scent was amazing and it lathered really well! This was one that Kylor and I totally fought over, so I would repurchase if they re-promote it at a later time.

+ Bath & Body Works Dark Kiss Shower Gel (10 FL OZ), $12.50.
This is my all time favorite scent from Bath & Body Works. I will allllways buy this scent! This is another one that Kylor loves to use. I typically try to pick up some shower gel in this scent whenever they have a sale, but this one is becoming harder to find. I will always repurchase when available, though!

+ Aerie Be Chill Coconut Water & Hibiscus Exfoliating Body Wash (7 OZ), $12.95.
This particular version isn’t available on the Aerie website anymore, but the price is for the other scents they have. I actually bought this solely to get free shipping :/. I was really surprised by how much I liked this. It had a really great exfoliant and the scent was nice. It was really nice to be able to skip a traditional exfoliant step, so I would repurchase!

+ Bath & Body Works Mint Leaf & Bergamot Olive Oil Body Scrub, $13.96.
I purchased two of these and this is the second tub that I used up. I got this on a recommendation during my pregnancy and I’m really happy I listened to the rec because this worked really well for me. It’s oil-based so it made my skin super smooth even during the crazy dry skin third trimester that I had and I would definitely repurchase.

+ Dove Exfoliating Body Polish (1 OZ) x2, $0.56 x 2 = $1.12.
This is an interesting product to me. First of all, the scent is amaaazing. It’s crushed macadamia & rice milk. I so want this in a perfume. The important thing to realize is that this is not a body scrub, it’s a body polish. I went into it expecting a body scrub. However, I do like body polishes and this one is a great one. It’s also very affordable. I would definitely repurchase.

+ Bath & Body Works Water Me Please Jojoba Dry Scrub (4 OZ), $18.96.
This was a great scrub. It’s a dry scrub, which means that it is a powder that you “activate” by getting it wet in your hands. This worked really well without being too abrasive or harsh. I don’t think this is available through the Bath & Body Works website any longer, but you can still find it on Amazon, which is linked here. I would definitely repurchase.

+ Beneath Your Mask Polish Body Scrub (1 OZ), $14.95.
I got this in the Best Of Indie box, and to be completely honest, I wasn’t super impressed. It was an okay scrub, but definitely not worth the price to me. I’m not a huge fan of the scent and I’ve used scrubs that I’ve liked way more than this one. I would not repurchase.

+ Fortune Cookie Soap Let Them Eat Cake Solid Sugar Scrub, $12.99.
I got this in the monthly subscription box that Fortune Cookie Soap has. First of all, it’s adorable. It looks like a little slice of cake. It smelled amaaazing, like vanilla frosting and sugar. And it actually worked quite well. I love solid scrubs and I love sugar scrubs, so I would absolutely repurchase this!

+ Bliss Grapefruit + Aloe Body Butter (0.23 FL OZ), $0.99.
This is a nice body butter. It’s got a nice scent and soaks into the skin well. It’s just not a product that I’m getting excited about. I have a lot of other lotions and butters that I prefer to this one and for the full price of $29.00, I probably won’t be purchasing a full size.

+ Sensodyne Rapid Relief Toothpaste (3.4 OZ), $5.20.
I got this toothpaste from BzzAgent as part of a campaign. I was actually really impressed with this. It made my teeth feel super clean, it had a nice taste to it, and I didn’t notice as much sensitivity to cold as I normally have. I will repurchase this.

+ Fortune Cookie Soap Friendsgiving OCD Hand Sanitizer, $2.89.
This is another product from the Fortune Cookie Soap subscription box. This particular product is sold out though, so I can’t link to it. I really like Fortune Cookie Soap’s OCD Hand Sanitizers though, and this one smells awesome with really strong hints of apple. I would absolutely repurchase this if they ever bring it back.

+ CVS Regular Polish Remover (2 FL OZ), $1.00.
This is another product that has been discontinued, so I’m estimating the value price based on what CVS currently offers in the nail polish remover department. This was a decent polish remover, I didn’t have any issues with it. It served its intended purpose. I would repurchase if it was still available.

+ Skintimate Skin Therapy Moisturizing Shave Cream for Dry Skin (10 OZ), $2.99.
This is seriously my all time favorite, holy grail shave cream. I feel like I have at least one bottle of this in every empty post. I happened to get crazy lucky with this on a clearance sale and I have a stockpile of like 30 bottles. I will 100% repurchase this every time. I do sometimes use other brands or other scents of Skintimate, but this will always be my favorite. It works the best and doesn’t dry out my skin. Ya’ll definitely need to try it!

+ Equate 5 Blade Razor for Women, $5.72.
I got this in the little Walmart Beauty Box subscription that they put out. I’m very picky with my razors, so I didn’t have high hopes for this, but ya’ll. This is seriously comparable to the Venus razors. This worked really well and I am super impressed with this. It also comes in at a much cheaper price point than the Venus razors, so I’ll definitely be repurchasing this.

+ L’Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup in n1-2 Soft Ivory (1 FL OZ), $9.80.
This was an OK foundation. I didn’t love the coverage it had, but it was semi-buildable. I’m not a huge fan of the LUMI type of foundation though. I have other foundations that I prefer to this, so I probably wouldn’t repurchase unless I could find it cheap enough.

+ BECCA Perfect Skin Mineral Powder Foundation in Nude (0.33 OZ), $23.79.
This is a really nice powder. It provides wonderful coverage and I didn’t have any issues with it looking cakey or feeling too heavy. I’m not able to find this on the Sephora website anymore, but Amazon does carry it at a discounted price (as listed above), and at that price I would 100% repurchase it!

+ YSL The Shock Mascara (0.06 FL OZ), $6.21.
I was really impressed by this mascara. I normally tend to stick to drugstore for my favorite mascaras because I normally find that they work better. But this one worked really well. The color was opaque, it didn’t clump or give me spider lashes and it didn’t flake off during the day. I would purchase the full size.

+ MAC False Lashes Extreme Black Mascara (unknown size), $?
This little sample tube was completely dried up when I first opened it. I have no idea why, but unfortunately I never got to try this out. I have liked other MAC mascaras I’ve tried in the past, but I wouldn’t purchase this without being able to try it again.

+ Cover FX Illuminating Setting Spray (4 FL OZ), $31.00.
I got this in a past BoxyCharm box. I really liked this setting spray. I always like trying new setting sprays, since it is something that I use every day. This one worked well and gave me a nice sheen without appearing greasy. I think that it did help my makeup stay in place all day and I would repurchase it.

I used up $397.53 worth of products this month!
I’ve used up $1,293.27 worth of products this year!

Have you tried any of these products? What have you used up recently?
