I have a new subscription! I cancelled a couple of them recently and I’ve been wanting to try this one out, so I figured it’s about time. This is the So Susan Color Curate bag. I signed up for a six month subscription because I’m loving past reviews I’ve read about this box.

So Susan Color Curate is a monthly subscription box that delivers four full sized beauty items (plus a cute canvas bag) each month. The cost is $20.95 a month. You can purchase these bags as a one time purchase for $45.00 on the So Susan website. All of the products are 100% cruelty free.
Each month the products come in a makeup bag (similar to Ipsy) and each bag includes an information card. This month’s theme is “Dreams Conquer Fear”.
This bag is nice, but I get so many makeup bags via my subscription boxes that I have to be really picky with them. I don’t love the fact that the logo is printed on the front of the bag or that they use up $12 of the value on just the bag. I’m not sure what I’ll do with this yet. The quality is very nice.
This is considered a “bonus item” in the box, which is nice. I will say the packaging is cute and I love the saying printed on it. I’ve tried silicone sponges in the past and haven’t been a fan, but I’m always happy to give items second chances and I haven’t tried one from this brand yet.

So Susan The Silhouette Palette ($45.00)
This is a foiled eyeshadow palette. The colors are gorgeous and the pans are really large. The price is a bit steep for only five eyeshadows. The shades included are: Source, Trick, Morph, Fume and Copper. The shadows are soft and crazy pigmented. I’m really happy to get such a nice palette my first month!
This is a multifuctional pigment. Subscribers would receive either Flash, Strobe or Prism this month. Flash is a gorgeous white glitter pigment. It’s so glittery that it was a bit difficult to photograph, if you couldn’t tell. This is gorgeous though. These can be used many ways and it’s always a nice product to have in your collection for nights out or festivals.
Trifle Cosmetics Mango Frost ($15.00)
This is a lip scrub. As you can see in the picture, this came with a sifter over the top, which is a bit confusing to me. I just don’t see the point. I was able to get the sifter out. This has a minty spearmint smell. It’s a nice scrub with a thicker grain which really helps exfoliate your lips without being overly harsh and the spearmint also makes your breath smell fresh!
This was a good first month! The month is valued at $98.99, which is great for a $20 bag! I really like the variety and quality of the products they sent and I can’t wait to see what is coming next month!
What do you think of this subscription? Have you ever heard of any of these brands?
