Caribbean Queen | June 2018 Boxycharm Review!

This box has been so hyped up. A lot of Boxycharm boxes are hyped up, but this one has been insane. Mine took forever in shipping this month, so I was thrilled when it got here a couple of days ago! I can’t wait to see what everyone has been freaking out about all over the web!

+ Links may be affiliate or referral links. All items purchased by me unless otherwise mentioned. All opinions are my own.

BoxycharmΒ is $21.00 a month and each month you get 4-6Β beauty items that will include nail care, skin care, makeup, haircare, fragrance and more!

The anticipation is killing meeeee.

This month’s theme is Caribbean Queen!

Alamar Reina Del Caribe (28.00)

This palette features 8 highly opaque shades, reminiscent of the beauty and culture of Cuba. Dive into the pigments and pearls found in the intense metallics, or ground your look with the warm richness of the creamy mattes. For a more intense application, refer to the shade names that feature a water droplet that can be used with a wet brush – the sun symbol, for application with a dry brush.

Alamar Reina Del Caribe (28.00)

These shades are gorgeous! I love the fact that the shadows are marked with symbols that tell you if they can be used wet or dry. I think it’s a really nice touch most palettes these days are lacking! The pigmentation in these is really nice, and they are very opaque. The shades are inspired by the beauty and rich culture of Cuba, the birthplace of Alamar.

Here are all of the shades swatched.

Battington Monroe Silk Lashes ($28.00)

The 3-D multi-layered Battington Monroe Silk Lashes enhance your look with moderate length, adding a volume and length to your lashes. They’re handmade with 100% silk and impressive durability, allowing up to 25 applications with proper care.

I actually have a pair of these from a subscription box from forever ago. These are absolutely beautiful, and they feel very luxe. I must admit, I am a bit biased (peep that name – Monroe!). These come in a sturdy case with a magnetic closure, but I’ll be moving them to my House of Lashes Storybook. I’m very excited to have a second pair of these though.

Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream ($10.00)

Brazilian Bum Bum Cream is inspired by the Brazilians favorite feature – the bum bum! It’s creamy and rich in Guarana, a native Amazonian plant whose fruit contains one of the most potent forms of caffeine. The fast-absorbing texture contains just enough mica to add a perfect Brazilian glow, as the formula helps your body look and feel its smoothest and tightest.

This is a cult product, and I haven’t actually tried it yet! It’s been on my list of products to try for so long and I’m so excited to finally get the chance! I actually just got a sample of this in my Beautyfix box, so now I have two mini sizes to try! This is packaged like a mini version of the full size and it’s supposed to make your legs look amaaazing. It smells fabulous and feels incredible on the skin.

Luxie 3 Piece Flawless Complexion ($42.00)

Precision Foundation Face Brush 660 – With less bristle density. this brush is perfect for applying both powder and liquid foundations to create a soft, diffused makeup look. Tapered Highlighting Face Brush 522 – This fluffy, tapered brush allows you to seamlessly apply your favorite powder highlighter to the high points of your face or set your under eye makeup. Duo Fiber Powder Brush 516 – Use this ultra-soft duo fiber brush to apply cream or powder makeup for a softer, flawless finish.

Luxie 3 Piece Flawless Complexion ($42.00)

Luxie is one of my favorite brush brands. These brushes are so freaking soft and I love the pink handles! These are handcrafted makeup brushes with high quality, soft synthetic bristles using hypoallergenic, vegan, and cruelty-free materials.

Jonteblu Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in 903 Dark Brown ($5.00)

The 100% vegan, Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil glides on smooth for an elevated eye look. Use along the upper lash line or water line.

I have tried this brand before via various subscription boxes, and they’re nice enough. Very pigmented, but I do find they have a require a tad bit of tugging. This is a nice, deep brown that is very opaque and long-lasting, but this too does tug a bit.

OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Verona ($21.00)

OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick is a one-step, full lip color that does not feather. These vibrant colors will give you a vivacious new look. They are creamy and soft in texture, moisturizing the lips and creating a long lasting lipstick effect. No need to use lipliner, this liquid lipstick gives a beautiful edge to your lip look!

OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Verona ($21.00)

I freaking love OFRAs liquid lipsticks. This is a beautiful shade, a mocha nude brown with a matte finish. I have a few from this line, and they are all gorgeous. These are verrry long-lasting and moisturizing. I am a huge fan and I love this new color that I get to add to my collection!

FINAL THOUGHTS:
I definitely understand why this box was so hyped up. An amazing value, amazing products, amazing all around! I can’t wait to use all of these! I have heard some rumors that Boxycharm is coming out with an upgraded model, so make sure you subscribe to blog updates if you want reviews when they unveil it, because I will definitely be the first in line to get an upgraded box!

I paid $21.00 for $134.00 worth of products!

What do you think of this box? What was your favorite product this month?
