June 2018 Allure x Kat Von D Collab Box Review!

I know, this is so late. My mother would be ashamed. I almost didn’t do a post on this box, but it’s Kat Von D. Collabing. With Allure Beauty Box. I’m so there. They actually came out with two different versions of this box, and I got the second one which had a one product difference (I was hoping for the second one though!) And I can’t wait to dig into this!

All products purchased by me unless otherwise noted. All opinions remain my own. Some links may be affiliate or referral links.

Allure Beauty Box is a monthly subscription box from Allure Magazine. Each month they send out a mix of deluxe and full-size products from high-end brands. It costs $15.00 each month.

This month’s “theme” was a Kat Von D “takeover” and all of the products were curated b Kat Von D and a beauty director from Allure.

“If you give me an eyeliner, I can create 40 looks with that.” I still remember reading this Kat Von D quote a few years back, because how do you not love someone who says that? Kat Von D is one of my favorite beauty entrepreneurs. She’s got the coolest aesthetic (she was a tattoo artist before starting her own makeup line), and now more people follow her on Instagram than live in all of Denmark. So I’m thrilled to announce that Kat and I created your June Beauty Box together. It’s filled with her five all-time-favorite products, so you know you’re in for a treat. Her formulas are richly pigmented, long-wearing, and she’s passionate about making them cruelty-free. One more reason to love her.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper Black – 0.007 FL OZ ($7.36 estimated value)

I seriously have half a dozen of these minis. They’re very common in subscription boxes, I think. But I’m definitely not complaining. This is so opaque and it just glides on – but DOESN’T budge! The tip is really easy to maneuver, which is great when you’re terrible at applying liquid liner (like me!). This is a total winner in my book though and if you need me, I’ll just be over here with my collection of mini Kat Von D liners!

Kat Von D Everlasting Lip Liner in Lolita – 0.009 OZ – FULL SIZE ($18.00)

Oh my gosh – this literally costs more than the price of the box and we are only on the second item! I love lip liners, I wear one every day. I live in excess and I’m okay with admitting that. This is seriously the best. It’s got a velvet texture and is so. freaking. creamy. It is so comfortable on the lips, which is huge to me! The packaging is the cutest and the shade itself is a chestnut rose shade which is a really nice universal color.

Kat Von D Studded Kiss Creme Lipstick In Double Dare – 0.035 OZ ($5.54 estimated value)

I love this line of lipsticks. I actually have this shade in a mini lipstick already, and I just added a couple full-sizes from this line to my collection. The packaging is to die for. It’s a beautiful creme lipstick and the shade “Double Dare” is actually a satin-matte finish and the color is a beautiful cocoa blush. This lipstick looks amazing with the Lolita lipliner because it has brown undertones. I love that they provided two products that will work so well together. Amazing curation.

Ole Henriksen Transforming Walnut Scrub – 3 OZ – FULL SIZE ($28.00)

This facial exfoliator is made with walnut shells, which is pretty new for me. I don’t think I’ve ever used a scrub that was walnut based before. I’m definitely interested, but it does beg the question – what about people with nut allergies? This scrub is made with walnut powder and ginseng extract. Now, I do have to admit, I’m kind of in love with it. I just really do feel bad for people that are allergic to nuts. This is amazing abrasive, but not in a harsh way, it smells soooo incredible and it gives my skin a really nice glowy affect. True love.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow N Arrow – 0.22 FL OZ – FULL SIZE ($20.00)

Ah, another full size Kat Von D product. The value of this box is mind-boggling. I am a huge liquid lipstick junkie and this is the most beautiful shade. It’s a fawn nude, or a mauve-y brown. This is one of my favorite shade ranges of lip products ever, so that’s definitely a plus for me. It’s super creamy and goes on smooth, dries down quickly and lasts. That’s a huge point to notice. This has excellent staying power. A definite victory for Kat Von D.

Pur-lisse Daily Lip Nourisher with Mango & Shea Butter – 0.38OZ – FULL SIZE ($16.00)

This product isn’t listed in the information booklet. I used to be subscribed to Allure, but cancelled after a few months just weren’t my taste. I re-subscribed for this box (and the spoilers for July look amazing as well), so I’m guessing this is a new subscriber gift? Either way, this is a great lip product. It’s moisturizing and provides the slightest glossy look, which is great for low-key days or just times when your lips need a little extra love.

And some swatches for my lovelies.

The value of this box is incredible. I actually subscribed for a year since I’ve been loving these past couple of months (what I’ve seen in reviews), and I’m so happy that this was my first box of my yearly subscription. This is a $15 box that has a $78.90 value – without the Pur-Lisse product. If you include that, it brings it up to a $94.90 value! I love all of these products and the curation was excellent. I’m really excited to be adding these to my collection, and I can’t wait to see what next month holds!

What do you think of this box? Are you a Kat Von D fan?
