Pumpkin Spice & Flannel | It’s TheFall 2018 FabFitFun Review!

It’s time for the newest FabFitFun box! As many of ya’ll know, this is one of my favorite boxes!  I am a select member, so I do get a discounted price (when paid yearly), early access to add-ons and more customizable options than seasonal members. (HINT: Sign up via this link and we will both save $10 off of our next boxes!)

+ Links may be affiliate or referral links. All items purchased by me unless otherwise mentioned. All opinions are my own.

FabFitFun is a lifestyle subscription box that is sent out seasonally (4 times a year). It is $49.99 a box. Each season they send you a box of $200+ worth items in categories like beauty, fashion, and fitness.

This is a jam-packed box, so we are going to jump straight into the products!

The first few products in this box are products that every member received.

BeautyBlender ($20). The color of this may vary from box to box. I am a huge fan of these sponges, and I tend to either be using this version of the Real Techniques version (which isn’t as good, but bearable and much cheaper).

If ya’ll have not used this before, RUN to anywhere and buy it. I know the price is a bit steep, but it makes such a huge difference in makeup application and can be used with so many different products. It’s a cult classic for a reason!

GlamGlow BubbleSheet Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask (2 Pack) – ($18).

These are typically sold as a single mask, but I love that we received two in this box! I don’t honestly think I’d ever spend $9 on a single mask, though. Either way, I’m a huge fan of the GlamGlow brand and pretty much all of the products that I’ve tried from them so far (and I did pick up a couple of new ones in the add-on sale! Check out my add-on haul and pricing breakdown coming on Friday!). These masks seem to be more like “sheet cleansers” to me. Apparently, you use these as a sheet mask, but it bubbles up and you rinse your skin afterwards. I will be reviewing these on my Instagram (@mommymessmer) like always, so keep your eyes peeled there!

Simply Whimsical Tea Towels ($14.99).

These are cute. They are neutral, which is a huge plus to my husband (his favorite colors are beige and gray!) and they will match out kitchen/dining room color scheme, so that’s  a plus. I love the waffle texture that these towels have to them, and I really do enjoy getting little homey things like this in my box, so I’m pretty happy with this!

Skin&Co Roma Blue In Capri ($22).

Skin&Co is such a nice brand. I haven’t tried a ton of their products, but I absolutely love everything I have tried so I always jump at the chance to try more. This is a limited edition product, which is kind of exciting to me. I do have to say, this does remind me more of a summer-y or spring-y scent. I’m not quite feeling the Fall vibes, but it does smell really great and it’s a nice size.

This is last product every member receives in their box, and it is a Sponsored product. Sponsored products are a bonus to the box.

Luna Rica Bar.

I got this in the Salted Caramel Nut flavor. To be completely honest, I normally don’t like bars like this. I’m not a huge fan of nuts in general, so I tend to steer clear. However, I did try this bar and it was actually pretty good. They included a coupon code for these on Amazon, and I might end up picking some up. Kylor loves taking these to work, and they might good to have around the house for snacks.

This product was a selection product, meaning you got to pick which product you wanted out of a few different options. You also have the option of choosing more than one for an extra $10 per item.

For my first selection item, I picked the Crown Brush 6 Piece Brush Set in Black + Rose Gold ($75). This is a limited edition product too! The other choices in this selection were the Crown Brush 6 Piece Brush Set in Silver ($75), or the Vince Camuto Luck Tote in Black or Red Desert ($128).

I’m not a huge fan of the HUGE price difference between the choices this time, but I did end up getting the brushes. Even though I do like the tote and I would probably use it, I have way too many totes and typically carry one of my Louis purses on a daily basis. The brush set was a bit more useful for me. They do come in a travel case, which is great and they are SO soft and fluffy.

For my second selection item, I picked the Alfred Teapot ($26). The other choice in this selection was the Alfred French Press ($22).

If you read my blog regularly, you know that I don’t drink tea OR coffee. Hm. I really did debate getting the french press and maybe trying it out because there is just something so old-timey movie star about using a french press. I’ve just always wanted to be one of those girls, ya know? However, since I knew the actual chances of this being used by me were slim, and I don’t know a ton of people that drink loose leaf tea or french pressed coffee specifically, I went with the teapot. I actually plan to use it as decor, either in my kitchen or as part of my vanity. How extra is that, seriously? I do love the florals, though.

For my last public selection item, I chose the Cylo Cobra Bluetooth Wireless Earbuds in White ($40). They also came in Black. The other option was a Catherine Malandrino Umbrella in Red Floral or Black/White Floral ($39.99).

I picked the headphones over the umbrella because I live in AZ. I only use an umbrella a handful of times a year. I already have several, including the Kate Spade one that I picked up during the last add-ons, plus I have been searching for a really great pair of bluetooth headphones. Let me tell you – I 100% regret that decision now. I absolutely should have gotten the damn umbrella. I used the headphones for about 20 minutes before I just couldn’t take it anymore. The sound quality is probably the worst that I have ever heard. My blown out car speaker sounds better.

I listen to music A LOT. Good headphones are a must. The moral here is: these are terrible.

This product was a Annual Member selection product, meaning Annual Members got to pick which product they wanted out of a few different options. They also have the option of choosing more than one for an extra $10 per item. Seasonal Members would receive one of these at random.

My first annual member selection product is the Grown Alchemist Polishing Facial Exfoliant: Pink Grapefruit & Glucomannan Extract ($67). The other options were the Grown Alchemist Hydra-Repair Day Cream: Camellia & Geranium Blossom ($49), and the Grown Alchemist Hydra-Restore Cream Cleanser: Olive Leaf & Plantago Extract ($49).

I had a hard time deciding for this selection. I have a ton of day creams, so that was pretty much out – but I’ve heard such incredible things about this brand that even knowing I didn’t need any moisturizers, it was a tough choice to make! I ended up going with the polishing facial exfoliant because Kylor and I both love these types of scrubs. This one feels so incredibly luxe – and it should, for that price tag! I can’t wait to try this out more. I’m kind of hoping that I don’t love it because I definitely don’t want to pay that much for it, but based on first impressions, I might not have a choice!

My second annual member selection product was actually two of the three products available. I picked the Farmacy Dew It All Total Eye Cream ($38) and the Touch In Sol Metallist Liquid Foil Lipstick Duo in Penny ($24.99). One was included in the box and I paid an extra $10 to get the second product. I chose to skip the third option, the Cuccio Somatology Yogahhh! Detox Bath ($39.95) because I have waaay too many bath products compared to how often I actually take baths.

I picked the eye cream because once again, I’m a huge fan of this brand. I have actually tried this eye cream before and it’s really wonderful! I currently have the full size moisturizer from this line so I can’t wait to be able to use them together! And this lip duo is just so pretty! I’ve tried the eye version of this product from Touch In Sol and I was seriously so impressed with it that I had to jump on the chance to try out this lippie!

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Once again, I am so blown away by this box. The value is incredible. The customization is incredible. The selection is incredible. And obviously, the add-ons are incredible. The only downside to this particular box was the quality of the headphones, but considering how happy I’ve been with FabFitFun this past year, I’m okay with taking a loss.

Do you subscribe to FabFitFun? Can you recommend a great pair of bluetooth headphones?
