Hey all! I’ve been super interested in mask challenges lately, partly because I have so many masks that I want to use up and partly because the whole challenge concept intrigues me so much. I’m competitive by nature. So I heard about this 7 Day Mask Challenge and the basic concept of this one is using a different sheet mask everyday for 5 days in order to jump start protecting your skin for the winter months. Apparently this is a huge thing in Korea, with some K-Beauty brands offering a set of masks to be used in the challenge.

These are the masks that I picked out of my stash for this challenge. I literally just reached in my sheet mask drawer and grabbed some at random and I’m pretty happy with my selection! Ps, please bear with my mask selfies. I have the worst time getting most sheet masks to sit right on my face – I think my face is too long – so I look pretty silly. But I still get the benefits from these babies!

On Sunday, I used the Leaders Labotica Rice Skin Soft Mask. This mask was pretty nice. It’s really soothing on the skin. It brightened my skin and made it a touch smoother. It also claims to be good for dead skin cell removal, but I’m not too sure how I would verify that. Either way, it’s super soft and that transferred over to my skin too. So far in this challenge, I’m doing great!

On Monday, I used the A’Pieu Icing Sweet Bar Sheet Mask. First of all, the packaging of this is so damn cute! I love it when sheet masks come in adorable packaging, it makes me so much happier using them. This mask was really nice. I didn’t notice much of a scent, but it make my skin feel nice and soft. Smooth to the touch and almost creamy, if that makes sense.

On Tuesday, I used the Purlisse Coconut + Rice Nourishing Sheet Mask. This is one of my favorites from the week. I love pretty much anything coconut. This was definitely nourishing and at this point, my skin feels so incredibly soft it’s just unbelievable. This mask soothed my skin and was great for using after a couple of days of masking because it was almost like a reset button for my skin. Amazing.

On Wednesday, I used the Medius Gold Sericin Cream Mask. This is the moisturizing masks to end all moisturizing masks. It is SO soft and creamy. It literally feels like someone dipped a sheet mask in a tub of moisturizer and you just set that on your skin for 30 minutes. This is also a top for me this week and I am on the hunt for more of these for sure.

On Thursday, I used the Esfolio Volcanic Ash Essence Mask Sheet. Honestly, I expected this sheet mask to be gray. I was surprised when it was just a basic white mask. This worked well though. It was almost like a clay mask lite. My skin felt refreshed and cleansed. My pores felt more open and clean. And again, MY SKIN WAS SOFT. Ya’ll have no idea.

On Friday, I used the BioRepublic Green Tea Detox Purifying Fiber Mask. This mask is loaded with Vitamin E and provides a boost of anti-oxidants and helps remove excess sebum. I really liked this mask as well. I think I did a damn good job of choosing these masks! This made my skin feel clean, clear and supple and it was oh-so-hydrating.

On Saturday, I used Oerbeua Just A Little Bit Firming Mask. This mask was the only one that I didn’t really love. It was a super weird fit, and I get that it is a firming mask, but it was a bit stiff for me. It still left my skin feeling hydrated, but after being spoiled every other day this week, this one just didn’t live up to my expectations.

I loved this challenge! My skin is so smooth and hydrated! I can understand why this is such a big deal in K-beauty and why everyone seems to be doing a mask challenge like this! The results are insane and my skin has never felt better. Because of my great success with this, I’m actually doing an #octobermaskchallenge on Instagram (@mommymessmer), if you’d like to see more of my masking! I definitely recommend this challenge to  anyone looking to give their skin a boost!
