If you all have been following me for a while, then you are well aware that I am a HUGE T.J. Maxx fan. It’s one of my favorite stores to browse through and pick up household goodies, pet goodies, beauty goodies, and some cute clothes. They also have an amazing selection of toys (even more so now that the holidays are approaching). It’s just a great one-stop shop. We recently needed to swing by to exchange a pair of jeans that I had picked up on my birthday (drat clothes being on the wrong sized hangers) and pick up some stuff for our new puppy! So I decided to share our pick-ups with you guys today. Forgive my pictures, I was so excited to get the washable stuff washed and the dogs settled in with their new stuff that they aren’t high-quality, but I think any true TJ Maxx fan can still appreciate them!
P.S., I’ll link to anything that I can find on their website, since they have recently branched out to online shopping as well!
I picked up a couple of essentials first. We had one of these egg fridge bins that we actually used all the time, but it never held enough eggs, so when we were walking through the kitchen aisle, I saw this one and I had to grab it! This holds double the eggs that our old one did, but still fits in our fridge perfectly! I can’t find this on the T.J. Maxx website, but it is on Amazon. For comparison, I paid $6.99 and on Amazon it’s $9.99.
I also needed a new whisk, since I broke both of my metal whisks during my last Foodstirs attempt (you can check that out on Instagram, @mommymessmer). I picked up this KitchenAid Utility Whisk. I believe this was $3.99, and you can also grab it on Amazon for $8.49.
I also picked up three notepads. These were $2.99 each (but sadly not available on their website). I use these things everyday, for to-do lists, grocery lists, meal planning, etc. I always like to stock up on these when I see cute designs! And do you see that Christmas themed one? I can’t wait to use that all December long!
Then we headed over to the animal section (which is conveniently located next to the toys in my T.J. Maxx, so that’s where my husband and kids hung out for the rest of the trip). I picked up a sweater for our tiniest dog. I know it’s a bit controversial, but she has very thin fur and that leads to a lot of difficulties with her going outside. She tends to do a lot better when she has another layer on, so we normally pick her up a new sweater every year and this year I found this adorable polka dot one! Keep reading to see my little baby looking fierce!
I also grabbed another toy for the dogs to share – this cute little caterpillar. Gibson is obsessed with The Hungry Caterpillar book, so he freaked out when he saw this! It has a squeaker in the tail and the head and a rattle throughout the body, and Jackson has seriously fallen in love with this thing, so kudos to Gibson.
We also picked up a new dog brush and a we got Jackson a pet bed! He has been trying to steal Jagger’s bed for a couple of days, so I figured we should grab him one while we were out to avoid fights between the dogs.
How cute is this sweater and dog toy, though?
I did grab a few beauty goodies. I picked up a scrub for my birthday, and it is legit one of the best scrubs I’ve ever used, so I wanted to grab a couple more to test out.
I got the Luxe-Spa Exfoliating Body Buff, Coffee + Coconut Oil. This was $4.99. It smells incredible, like most coffee scrubs too. It does come in a HUGE glass jar, which I’m not the biggest fan of. I’ve never understood putting bath products in glass packaging, and maybe its the clumsy in me, but it just always seems like a disaster waiting to happen. I also picked up Skin Glow Coconut Oil + Honey Sugar Scrub. Sugar Scrubs are great for the skin, and this one is made with coconut oil, so this will be a perfect product for the winter time. I love this bagged packaging (and my apologies, I don’t know why it’s so out of frame in the picture). This one was $5.99.
I grabbed a pot of the Body Prescriptions Charcoal & Vitamin C Face Scrub ($2.99). What an amazing price! And this packaging is so cute! I love facial scrubs and I tend to use them 2-3 times a week. This is a generous size tub that will last me quite a while! This literally looks like a thin mud inside this tub, but it seems to have a nice abrasive texture. And then I saw the Esfolio Soft Care Foot Pack Foot & Heel Peeling Mask ($4.99). This is being sold on Amazon right now for $15.10. I get really dry skin in the winter, so these foot masks are nice to have on hand when my feet are in need of extra moisture and TLC. Plus, they are great for at-home pedicure nights!
I also did a quick scan of the clearance section in beauty and I came across a 3.4 FL OZ bottle of Calvin Klein One Red Edition For Her! This was on clearance for $15 at T.J. Maxx, and this goes for $45 on Amazon right now! The bottle is so cute and I collect perfumes, so this will be a great addition to my perfume display!
The last place I stopped at was the clothing section. I wanted to grab another pair of jeans since I had to return the pair that I previously picked up. I ended up getting two pairs: I got a pair by Jessica Simpson. This is the Kiss Me Super Skinny jeans and they were $19.99 at T.J. Maxx (you can find a ton of different colors of these jeans here). I was actually looking at a couple different pairs of Jessica Simpson jeans, but these just fit the best, so I snagged these. I also got a pair Blue Spice High Waist Skinny Jeans ($16.99) – you guys, I finally found something on the T.J. Maxx website! These fit so great that I instantly fell in love – and ended up with two pairs of jeans instead of one. Oops. (Thanks, Hubby!)
I also grabbed a new pair of pajamas, the cutest set ever from Cynthia Rowley. These are on the far left in the picture and they were $16.99. I have recently become obsessed with matching sleepwear sets and I love flamingos! This set is a pink tank top and shorts that have a flamingo-wearing a santa hat print all over them. How freaking cute! And then I grabbed this sweater/cardigan thing. It’s fleece on the inside and is legit the most comfortable outerwear that I own! And I love the checkerboard/plaid pattern on the outside! This coat was $19.99.
I also picked up a couple of clearance undergarments. I got a two-pack of bras from Laura Ashley. These were on clearance for $10.00 with an MSRP of $42! This set has a plain pink bra with some lace detailing and a floral print bra with lace detailing. And then I grabbed a two-pack of Calvin Klein thongs – on clearance for $8 (with an MSRP of $26!) This set comes with plain gray seamless thong and one seamless thong that has the Calvin Klein logo printed all over it.
And as promised, here is our tiniest pup, Lexi, in her new holiday sweater!
