Here’s the truth. I don’t read Vogue. I do flip through it sometimes and I have one of their coffee table books. So many gorgeous pictures. In spite of this, I’ve always viewed Vogue a synonym for luxe or classy. I knew I had to get one of these as soon as I had seen that they had released a Birchbox x Vogue limited edition collab (no matter how late in the game I realized this). Birchbox x Vogue Transformation has an amazing value and is filled with products that I can only describe as luxe. Which brings us to why we’re here today. Let me introduce you to the Limited Edition Birchbox x Vogue: Transformation ($68).
Do you see this packaging? I want everything in my house to be in packaging like this. The packaging is sophisticated, simple and graceful. Secret of Sahara is loaded with reparative Sahara cactus seed oil and soaks into the skin quickly and with purpose – this provides a nice plump to the skin. I am so in love with this essence and even the scent is luxurious, a subtle fresh and clean scent that just smells sexy. Plus, at $58 this product almost pays for the entire box!
These concentrates are a makeup artist favorite. They provide an instant shot of skin-evening moisture and illumination in a convenient, single dose. Each ampoule contains light-reflecting pigments which helps create a youthful looking glow and evens out skin tone. I’ve always been interested in single-use concentrates. However, they’re always so pricey that I’ve shied away. These seem to be working really well for my skin by providing a brighter aspect to my skin, but I plan on using them each day for a week and checking my personal results then.
I’ve been dying to try out MILK makeup for so long. I have some products from the brand and I plan on doing a first impressions review shortly, but this will hold me over for now. The Blur Stick is a colorless, matte, silicone and oil-free stick that minimizes pores, smooths fine lines and doubles as a primer under-makeup. That’s a lot of stuff for one little stick to do, but it does all of its tasks well. I’ve only tried it out a couple of times, but so far it’s looking like a new favorite!
YSL is definitely something I think of when I see Birchbox x Vogue and they did not disappoint. I’m The Storm is a dark sparkle top coat for your lashes. This mascara provides an unexpected flash when worn alone. As a mascara junkie and a glitter lover, I am head over heels here. She’s lengthening and volumizing and sparkly. I couldn’t ask for anything else.
Birchbox x Vogue said that this lipstick has galvanized a new generation of feminists. I’m prone to agree. This “in your face,” vivid blue-red lipstick was on heavy rotation at the historic Women’s March. This is a cult classic shade and I love it so much that I actually own one already. I’m still debating if I should pass this one along or just keep it as a much-needed backup.
Saturday Skin is a brand that I have dying to try and it figures that Birchbox x Vogue would have been my savior. Skin Spotlight is a bio-celluose mask that adapts to the contours of your face and brightens up your complexion. All with the help of dark spot-reducing bilberry extracts. As a self-proclaimed mask junkie, this is right up my alley and I can’t wait to test it out!
The Briogeo Hair Cap System which is lined with a tech-backed fabric and implanted with micro-oil beads which are designed to lock in the nutritive benefits of the brands hair conditioning mask. Briogeo makes one of my favorite hair masks so this is an obvious choice for me. MI’m thinking of using this as a little pick me up afterwards because my hair desperately needs to be dyed.
